During Twilight Tours, guests are taken on a two-hour guided tour of select areas of the Honolulu Zoo. Visitors get to see the bedtime rituals of some animal residents, while others are just waking up. Areas tour-goers may visit include the African Savanna, Primate Island, and the Reptiles.

Twilight Tours occur rain or shine. Once a tour has started there will be no refunds. In the event of significant inclement weather or flooding in the Zoo, we may need to cancel a tour in which case guests will be notified via email at least two hours before the tour’s scheduled start time.

Where to meet your tour guide

Please join us at Gate #6 (Located on mauka, or mountain side of the Kapahulu Zoo Parking lot) between 15 minutes prior to the event. Your tour manager will check you in and guides will be there to greet you. Be sure to account for parking around the Zoo if there is another community event.

How long are we walking for?

Twilight Tours are a 2-hour walking program – comfortable shoes are recommended. We encourage you to bring a reusable water container, though we ask that no outside food be brought in.

What if I have to cancel my reservervation?

Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the reserved tour date to process a refund. However, reservations can be rescheduled.

Tours will proceed in light rain, so please be prepared for rainy weather. If there is heavy rain or an unforeseen event that requires the cancellation of a Twilight Tour, your tour will be rescheduled, or you will be provided a refund for your tickets. Any cancellation notice will be given by 2 p.m. on the day of the tour.
