Tiger Enrichment (Bone Iceberg)

A large bone was frozen into the middle of a 5 gallon block of ice put in the tigers pool.

Our male tiger, Pandji showed no interest. However, our female Djelita, showed interest in the iceberg right away.

It took about 10 minutes of investigation and testing before she made a decisively possessive move.

Djelita pulled the iceberg from the pool.

She then carried the iceberg off into the tall grass. She moved it from place to place throughout the day.

The enrichment activity lasted for about 6 hours. The bone remaining iceberg all day.
