Tiger Enrichment

A domestic miniature horse, sheep and llama from the Children's Zoo, spent the night grazing in the tiger exhibit, while the tigers slept in their night quarters. Having a new place to graze and explore also provided enrichment for the domestic animals. |
Pandji and Djelita could hear the animals in their territory during the night. They were very eager to explore the exhibit in the morning to see if any had been left behind. Pandji (above) is enjoying the new scents. |

Pandji was very interested in the horses urine. After 5 minutes of rubbing his face in it, he went to his scent tree and marked it with his own urine and then rubbed his face in it. |
Djelita caught wind of the new scents and explored all the feces spots (the actual feces were removed before the tigers were let out into the exhibit). |

| She found the llamas scratching post the most interesting. The llama had been using this branch to scratch its back. | Djelita is shown here remarking her territory to reestablish her presence. |
