Lani Moo

Lani Moo, the Meadow Gold Dairy's ambassador of good health and nutrition, is a 3 1/2 year old red Holstein, who came from their milk production line on the Big Island. She weighs between 1,200 and 1,300 pounds. The previous Lani Moo was retired to live out her life at Meadow Gold's Waimanalo dairy farm. On September 29, Lani Moo surprised everyone by giving birth to a 104 pound black and white male calf at 10:45 a.m. Meadow Gold held a contest to name the calf and the winning entry, from a sixth-grader, was "Kawika Moo". |
