Having a thin epidermis (outer layer of skin) and no sweat glands, the hippos lose water much faster than other mammals and risk rapid dehydration and overheating in hot daytime weather.

Crocodiles have a notch in the upper jaw on each side which accommodates the fourth tooth in the lower jaw when its mouth is closed.
Our white handed gibbons are enjoying an enrichment treat of seasonal soursop fruit.
